Stac
Sassy soulstress Stac writes intelligent, jazzy, souly, stylish and sometimes uncomprehendably intricate tunes that can’t help but leave her audience beaming by the end of the show.
She has an effortless, sensous voice which lends itself perfectly to the vocals-led styles of her song-writing, with lush harmonies gallore and the odd gorgeously deliberate note clash thrown in for good measure.
Stac released a single, Balls Bounce, on record label Wah Wah 45s last year, with a rather lovely remix by Bonobo as the B-side and she recently went down a storm at a sold out, jammed-packed Jazz Cafe, supporting the brilliant Little Dragon alongside Polarbear and Jamie Woon.
Excentral Tempest
Oh this lady needs little introduction to most OneTaste fans and for those who haven’t heard her then this will be a special chance to get intimate with some of the most powerful, insightful and intelligent words you’ll have heard coming out of the mouth of a young twenty-something lady from South London…ever.
This quote from Scroobius Pip sums it up:
“I had Excentral Tempest in several times on my BBC radio one spoken word show and she has been the highlight of my listening this year. She has no right whatsoever to be as good as she is. It astounds me. Her writing is epic, her delivery piercing, and with the addition of her band Sound of Rum her potential is realised. Inspirational.” Scroobius Pip
Excentral will be doing a spoken word set on the 7th. It will be great.

Laura J Martin
Funky, folkie, flutely Laura J Martin will be bringing her wonderfully unique and exciting styles to the Distillers on the 7th April.
Mixing jazz, folk, electronic and eastern influences in her flute-playing and interjecting with some rather beautiful vocals, Laura J Martin has a sound that is all her own and very jealous of it we are too!
Coming all the way from Leeds to play this set and fitting us into her busy schedule supporting the brilliant Kidkanevil and Alice Russell, we feel just a tad excited to have this lovely lady at OneTaste West!
Fin
Composer/Guitarist/Singer, Fin was born in the North of bonnie Scotland and you can hear that influence in his enchanting folk-driven music.
Having gypsied around the UK for a while most of the last few years have been spent in the South West, between Devon and Cornwall, and now Fin has come to London to showcase his beautiful tunes.
His song “Be My Rock” has been played on Radcliffe and Marconie’s Radio 2 show. Lovely stuff.
