Our third show in Brighton is coming up in April! Yay! Check back soon for more about our exciting springtime extravaganza!

Gideon Conn

Gideon Conn is one of a current crop of emerging Mancunian songwriters and performers.

Alternative by nature, Gideon’s shows are breath-taking from start to finish. With a cheeky smile he makes the audience jump for joy, sigh with delight then leave asking what they have just seen and and when can I hear it again?

Describable as folk-hiphop, Gideon’s debut single ‘I want you around’ was made breakfast single of the week on 6Music and is a favourite of Huw Stevens on Radio 1 and Jon Kennedy on XFM.

Gideon and his band have won the hearts of many fans at gigs and festivals around the UK. Scroobius Pip saw Gideon at Glastonbury and was blown away – “The People of Britain may not know it yet, but Gideon Conn is a national treasure!”

6 Day Riot

6 Day Riot march on from their successful debut album Folie A Deux with renewed vigour

and a refined sense of identity. Ideas are flowing thick and fast. Rhythms are more eclectic and varied. Lyrics more focused. Live performances more impassioned.

The bands musical palette has expanded the bluegrass/klezmer hybrid of album one to a sound distinctly and resolutely their own; fuelled by the creativity, imagination and technical ability of the players.

Album no. 2 is scheduled for release in June ‘0.

The Adventurists

Less of a band, more of a collaboration of two solo performers, The Adventurists utilise Celtic Harp, Double Bass, Steel pan, homemade drum kits and electric & acoustic guitars to bring their songs and stories to life. With a shared desire to take each night as it comes, and each with a wealth of material, The Adventurists are touring Uk and Europe throughout June 2009.

Expect an evening of musical magic, sonorous spoken word, performance swapping and off the cuff tomfoolery with maverick modern storytelling and multi-instrumental songsmithery. With a trunkful of instruments, two unruly voices and you the audience, a different show every night is guaranteed!

Dockers MC

First seen at Latitude festival by the OneTaste crew, this quirky lady who goes by the name Dockers MC had us caught up in her tales of London life and hilarious delivery.

She manages to collect pockets of words together to create a type of ‘flo-etry’ that makes your brain tap its feet and smile at the same time.

Its Dockers’ clarity and hilarity combined that makes her talent immensely entertaining. Delivered in a captivating way that literally has the audience indulging on her every word, and vying to be caught in her dottily dressed eye contact.
