The Secret Garden Party's Lost Lovers Ball
With Valentine’s Day looming around the corner, this weekend sees the wonderful people at The Secret Garden Party (SGP) host the Lost Lovers Ball at the iconic Battersea Power Station!
If you’re going to throw winter’s finest party, if you’re going to explore the greatest theme of mankind, then you’re going to need the most fantastical space imaginable. SGP have spent months in negotiations with the owners of Battersea Power Station…and have been given unique access to this staggering 1930’s masterpiece.
On the 11th, 12th & 13th February 2011 London’s most atmospheric architectural relic will be bringing the psyche of love to life, with a thousand person Ballroom at the heart of this unrequited adventure.
Running from 9pm – 3am (subject to licence) these one-night, all immersive, theatrical experiences will be 6 hours of pure magic. They have collated some of their favourite elements from the UK’s most radical and loved festival to the nation’s capital, including Gideon Reeling, Tax Deductable, Bearded Kitten, Videopia and Asstrology to name a few. They’ll have workshops, life drawing classes and dance-offs. Guerrilla Science will be explaining the science behind love as well as talks and debates from The Garden’s intellectual platform, The Forum.
Now, the 11th & 12th February is completely SOLD OUT but they still have a limited number of tickets for the 13th February!
