VENUE

DOORS

4.30pm

We are gathering organisers, visionaries, artists, activists, teachers, students and healers from across our diverse London communities, who are working towards inner and collective transformation for an evening of workshops, community, food and music.

We are responding to a calling from many of our friends to connect our networks together, for us to discover our deep mutuality and potential for collaboration in these times. We believe that our current state of uncertainty and transition can be our greatest opportunity. We would like to offer this space to share a process to seed the expansion of our communities and transform charged feelings into connected empowerment.

To facilitate this process, we will be using ‘‘The Work that Reconnects’, a practice developed by Eco Philosopher, Joanna Macy. The aim of this work is to bring us into relationship with each other and with the self-healing powers of the web of life, to reclaim our lives, our communities, our planet, and to respond creatively to the collective crises that we face. This approach supports people to respond creatively to world crises rather than feeling overwhelmed or paralyzed by distress. Rather than feeling afraid of our pain for the world, we learn how we can feel strengthened by it.

Part 1: 4.30 – 8pm

Setting the space – Opening circle, introductions. An opportunity to bring our experiences and concerns to a wider conversation. Then…

International practitioner Lotan Sapir will guide us through the process of ‘The Work That Reconnects’.
A three hour session which will include:

Individual and group exercises which give space to see our shared humanity and to voice felt responses to the condition of our society/world.

This will follow by group creative processes which will
– Widen and deepen our perspective of this time
– Engage in our inherent creativity and imagination
– Observe Our Power

*Please bring a pen and notebook

Part 2: 8 – 11pm

An invitation to the community to artistically respond to the workshop, plus artists from OneTaste Collective will animate the sharing and conversations of the day with live music, spoken word and a jam session with our house band, plus a cypher for anyone who’d like to take the stage.
